What impact has the internet had on media production, distribution and exhibition?

Intro - The internet has had a amazing impact on peoples life around the world connecting people miles away, expanding business's, creating business's and advancing technology. Most importantly it has increased Globalization in production, distribution and exhibition.

1st - internet has lead mass globalization spreading different cultures (Exhibition). Making it easier to share. Enabling people to sell things around the world using the internet (Distribution). Niche markets have had more support as views can be shared from all area of the world this is the Chris Anderson theory The Long tail (Distribution).

2nd - The internet is being used as a tool to distribute goods around the world and locally (Pizza hut) . it has also lead to anyone being able to become a producer for example Charlie McDonnell (made a living from posting vids on YouTube). People can like it and share comments on his page. This is the Henry Jenkins theory of Participatory Culture


3rd - The internet has created a online voluntary service For example, where musicians can find technical skilled people for free (mind Share). This represnts the theory Jeff Howe Crowd Sourcing
