Cultural Homogenisation

How much of the media that you consume is global?
- Magazines - Hello etc you have global news, of events in America, music awards etc

- American artists music is constantly being played on music channels and radio e.g. Justin Bieber

- CSI: Miami exaggerated crimes in America that represent Americans as heroic.

- Simpsons gives an cartoon representation of social issues in America by having the main characters being
a working class family on low income.

- Facebook was made in America and is now used all over the world - because of facebook there was the film "The Social Network", which won best director and best screenplay at the BAFTAs, a british film award ceremony.

- Clothing and fashion brands - DKNY, Kalvin Klein, David Hasslehoffs perfume Davidoff is advertised on television.

- Many American directors such as Stanley Kubrick and Terry Gilliam have moved to Britian and made films in Britina, bringing with them a strong American style.

-Many food brands are now dominant in Britian and other countries such as Mcdonalds, Coke, Frankie and Benny's, Mars company, Nestle, Subway.

-American Football Leagues stage big matches at Wembley Stadium, however when Wembley first opened other teams such as Brazil faced Argentina to globalize Wembley.
 Others American sports such as Basketball and hockey have transported to the UK gradually growing in  popularity.
