• media industry is all integrated, and everything is accessible on every form of technology
• people adapt technology to their own needs
• everyone is a producer as well as a consumer as there is a desire to create and share things with the rest of the world, for example, people making their own videos for youtube
• technology has become second nature to our generation and people rely on it in their day to day life
• culture proceeds technology, for example, people struggled to communicate ideas so certain technology was created to make it easier, for example, google
• collective intelligence is used to broaden access to expertise, for example pooling people's knowledge together
• wikipedia is a process, not a product
