Henry Jenkins - Participatory Culture Theory

Media convergence is shaped by integration of media industries and teenagers.
Cultural changes leading the technical changes, the needs of the audience shape what technologies will be available in the future.
Technology is no longer restricting people to share their own media - everyone is potentially a consumer and a producer.
New model of sharing information.
Collective intelligence allows increased productivity.
No one knows everything, a group of expertise creates success.
Media has become second nature - media integrated into into every part of our lives.
