Little Miss Sunshine and Misfits Website Analysis

Little Miss Sunshine:

1.From this website we learn comprehensive detail about the story and the actors history for example what films they have previously been in and which awards they have won. The website also lets you access the My space page and various other fan sites. You can also watch pod casts and listen to the film soundtrack if you click on the mini links. The website is quite interactive because there is many different thinks to click on and it is all on one page. The marketing strategy could be considered viral as they are advertising the movie through many websites such as MySpace and YouTube. There are also small trailers that forcibly appear on every page, the website isn't just trying to appeal to fans, it's trying to sell the movie and tease people into watching it. These methods are being used because the film isn't a big blockbuster film so its trying to reach out to the online community and feed them lots of information and extras.

Misfits:

2. The website includes clips from each of the episodes to show you what the show is like, it also has episode guides which give a brief summary in case you missed an episode. This website has much more information and has lots of different extras. On the website there are many different links to twitter and facebook because its trying to appeal to the teenage audience. The website is very interactive because it has quizzes, games and podcasts. I think that the website is more easy to use than the little miss sunshine website because it has a clear navigation menu whereas the little miss sunshine website just uses pictures for navigation. Both are quite accessible because they are linked directly to their television channels website. I think that the E4 website is more accessible than the fox website as it is quite well known on the internet because it has games and lots of other tv program pages. The primary audience for e4 are young people who are the main users of the internet.
