New York Tour Bus Accident
BBC - The report is very small and only 4 small paragraphs long. The article and specifies the death toll, location, time and minimal information about the actual crash.
FOX News - This has a lot more detail and has 35 small paragraphs. The article explains what the tour bus was doing before it crashed and then how it crashed in a step-by-step story. There is a small section about the driver with his account of what happened and the injuries he had. Details of the passengers treatment of the incidient is included, as is details of the passengers prior to the accident.Actions made by the highway services was mentioned (they closed the road off). There are quotes from the state police from a news conference regarding whether any foul play was present. Statements from the victims about their experience and what they did to help is mentioned. Victims said that the bus was speeding which is not included in the BBC article. We are told that the bus is under inspection and the CCTV bus footage is to be analysed. There are quotes from witness interviews which give a better image of what actually happened. The steps taken by firefighters to free victims and the steps taken by the ambulance crews to help victims is included. The age of the victims and location of where they live is specified.
Clearly the FOX News article is much more detailed whereas the BBC article is very short and misses out a lot of information. I don't feel it is completely dangerous, but the details that the bus was actually speeding may be important as it determines whether the incident was an accident or a crime.
