What do you think has been the biggest development in online technology in your generation and why?

Broadband

Broadband over recent years has allowed everyone to use the internet, and has developed a way of processing data at super speeds.
As the internet has become more and more popular broadband as catered each inidivdual.
Without broadband the internet would simply crash, as billions of people are downloading data every second.
Because of broadband it has opened a new market, with premium brands, virgin, BT and sky competing.
Each company already have their own products, BT phones, Virgin TV, and SKY TV, however broadband has become a part of their package all competing offering different speeds, and costs, with bundle deals that include, Digital TV at a lower rate etc.
Recently a new company called Plusnet offer specialist broadband, as the specialise specifically in that erea, creating a wider range of competition.
